What Locals Say

Brothers Cafe and Restaurant isn't just a place to eat—it's a guaranteed culinary experience. This spot in Tottenham consistently delivers some of the best East African food you'll find anywhere, and I genuinely mean it when I say the food is always tasty. Their dedication to quality shines through in every dish. The rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned, making it the ideal base for their incredible meats. The chicken is tender and flavourful, but the real showstopper is the lamb shank. It's fall-off-the-bone succulent, rich with spices, and an absolute must-try. If you are looking for authentic, hearty, and unbelievably delicious food, look no further. This is my go-to for East African cuisine, and they deserve every one of these five stars for their amazing consistency and quality. Go now—you won't regret it!

First of all do not expect romantic date night in this place. You are going to a somali cafe. The people are lovely and respectful but the decor is basic functional. There is a section for family with screens. You are going here for the food and it is spot on. Meat is soft tender tasty. One of the best somali food in London. Service is friendly. Price is amazing. One platter can feed 4 people.

The original Somali spot that I had many many years ago before TikTok got everyone and their nan coming to try it… Suffice it to say it didn’t disappoint. Bar the sadness at hearing the lamb shoulder was out of stock (I’ll be back to try it) we had a selection of the beef steak, chicken and salmon. Flavour town and then some, the marination of the chicken and meat was spot on. Paired beautifully with the rice, onions and sauce selection. Would highly recommend coming down here, and for the price you can’t really go wrong.

Came here during one of the last few nights of Ramadan. Called the guys up before-hand and made sure there was space. “Yes come come come”, and they hung up. We walked in and weren’t sure what to order, the waiter said don’t worry about it and brought us this beast of a meal - juicy meat and tender chicken over fluffy rice. Extremely tasty, service was top notch, and it’s definitely a vibe if you’re wanting to try Somalian food.

I’m a regular customer here and I absolutely love the food. This is hands down the best Somali restaurant in London. The portions are very generous and full of flavour, and the staff are kind. The food comes out super fast, I’ve never had to wait. They bring the soup, and before you’ve even finished it, the mains are already on the table. 1000/10 highly recommend!

One of our absolute favorite places to eat as a couple! The food is consistently delicious, made with care and full of flavor. Every time we try something new, it surprises us in the best way—especially my husband’s favorite dishes, which he truly enjoys. The service is exceptional—professional, welcoming, and respectful. As a woman, I really appreciate how comfortable and relaxed I feel every time we dine here. The atmosphere is calm and cozy, which makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to the whole team for always delivering top-quality food and service. We’ll definitely keep coming back, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a great setting!

Everything I was told about Brothers in Tottenham was true! The service was great, all three brothers I had the pleasure of meeting were polite, professional, friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful, fresh, flavourful and delicious. The soup starter was light and full of flavour, we really enjoyed it. My daughter loved the mango drink. I asked for traditional tea without the milk, he bought it to me but did not realise that black tea bag is used. I explained that I don’t drink non herbal tea and he was understanding. Thank you for a good experience, we will return.
